The nursery is finished, there have been numerous trips to Mothercare and the car seat is boxed and ready in the hall. They are preparations any expectant parents might make, yet for Martyn and Michelle Compton, every addition to the pretty green and yellow nursery is poignant.

Love is blind because love is unconditional
This story was broadcast on ABC’s 20/20 Friday night. It is a story of unconditional love, devotion, and yes courage, as well as inspiring to others. As I watched the story unfold, all I can feel was admiration.

DO YOU WANT A LIFE OF ABUNDANCE?
The first
gift I gave her was a dress. When I saw it, I thought it was beautiful. But
when I gave it to her, I learned again the truth that beauty is in the eye of
the beholder. Because she said, “Oh Bo, I love you for giving me a dress. Thank
you so much. But I suggest you stick to preaching. Your fashion sense is
awful.” I pouted, “You mean you won’t wear the dress?” She smiled. “If I become
suddenly suicidal, perhaps. In other words, I won’t be caught alive wearing
that thing.”

A True Story That Will Touch You Deeply
I’m going to tell you a true story of a young woman who went through a most gruesome fire. When you read her story, you’ll realize that your trials are absolutely nothing compared to what this young girl went through.
It was September 25, 2000. Maricel Apatan was an 11-year old girl in Zamboanga. On that day, this little girl went with her uncle to draw water. Along the way, four men met them. They were carrying long knives. They told her uncle to face down on the ground. And they hacked him on the neck and killed him.
